About the Diddy Bots

The Diddy Backstory

I have been an ESL kindergarten teacher for nearly 15 years and, midway through, I became the head of a kindergarten school. I have loved my job, educating young minds through fun and entertainment and helping fellow employees to do the same.

However, despite my continued love and passion for the job, I saw it as having a shelf life. Being a high-energy job, the moment you’re unable to maintain the necessary energy to keep young eyes engaged, your effectiveness as a teacher diminishes.

This was fine, as I had a retirement backup plan. In my spare time for many years, I had been animating for clients and companies around the world. I would help tell their stories through animation, make logo animations, social media ads and anything else that required attention grabbing motion.

Then something blindsided me – AI!

It came from seemingly nowhere, but I could see where this was going. It could potentially eat up a lot of work in the future, and with it, my retirement plan. Then, after a couple of weeks of moping it hit me. I could combine my 2 passions! I could continue to entertain and educate young minds and help new teachers do the same, all while using my love for animation and design as the driving force. It was the perfect storm if you like. This is how the Diddy Bots were born.
